It is peach season in New England. I get mine from Carlson Orchards in Harvard, MA. I made sauce, sorbet, ate plenty and got 2 paintings out of them.

I started this painting during an excellent workshop with Liz Haywood-Sullivan. The focus of the class was on water and reflections. This scene is from a marsh across from Maquoit Bay, Maine. A beautiful spot, particularly in the fall.

I attended a great pastel workshop with Christine Ivers in Sunapee, NH. A wonderful few days of fun and learning in the company of great artists. We sketched scenes from Sunapee Harbor, took notes on values, light and color, and painted on black prepped Gatorboard. This is one of my paintings from Sunapee Center, along the harbor.
