This subject was chosen by Kitty Clark for our painters' group April exercise. I like the subject a lot (who doesn't like strawberries? And the green colander is wonderful!). So, I did both a pastel and an oil version of it. The oil needs a couple of little adjustments and will be posted shortly. Now, what to do with the strawberries? Make ice cream or a pie?
I am having an Open House on Thursday April 22nd, graciously hosted by Dr John Pappas from Masterpiece Dentistry at Copley in Boston. The event is from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Please stop by to enjoy art, refreshments and great company. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
Sunshine Award
Thank you to my friend Bobbi Heath for granting me the Sunshine Award. I would like to pass it on to these 12 artists whom I enjoy following on the DPIAG (Daily Painters International Art Gallery) site.
In September, most of the tourists are gone from Vinalhaven and the fishermen are still out to sea. The town is delightfully quiet and there are only a few lobster traps in sight. A great time of year to walk around on the waterfront and enjoy the scenery.
My name is Joelle Levallet-Feldman. I was born and raised in Normandy, France and return every year to visit family and friends and rediscover the endless supply of inspiring scenes, each begging to be painted. Inspiration is also abundant in my adopted New England home, where the coast of Maine, orchards of Massachusetts and charming architecture are welcoming to any artist.
Media: oil, pastel and watercolor.
Please contact me for information, and to be included in my mailing list for exhibits and events.
