One of my favorite pastime is to visit botanical gardens wherever I travel. The Flower Brook at the Montreal Nature Museum is quite a treat in early summer. I visited this beautiful English style garden with a meandering brook over the July 4th week-end. Irises, peonies, daylilies, lilies and other perennials provided a symphony of colors and the inspiration for this painting. I am happy to share this great site with my friend Marie-Anne.
I love the little space you left intentionally between the flowers and the greenery...it works really well in making this pastel "sing"! Nicely done!
